Let us support you through every stage of your journey with expert guidance and personalized attention.

Prenatal Care

Prenatal care is the foundation of a healthy pregnancy and birth experience. During your initial visit, we’ll review your comprehensive medical history, assess risk factors, create a care plan, and discuss how to meet your unique needs.

  • Screening Options:
Even with an out-of-hospital birth plan, you have access to all standard pregnancy screenings, such as lab work and ultrasounds, to ensure ongoing risk assessment.

  • Risk Management:
Our goal is to support a healthy pregnancy and birth. If necessary, we may recommend adjustments to your birth plan, including referrals or planning a hospital birth for optimal safety.

  • Schedule of Visits:

    • Monthly office visits until 32 weeks.
    • Biweekly office visits from 32 to 38 weeks.
    • Weekly office visits from 38 weeks until delivery.

  • Appointment Length and Approach:

Most appointments are scheduled for 30 minutes, except for:

  • Initial Visit
  • Physical Exam Visit
  • Postpartum Visits

These exceptions typically last an hour to allow for a more in-depth discussion and care.

We dedicate this time to:

  • Explaining upcoming recommended testing or alternative options.
  • Reviewing and discussing test results.
  • Answering any questions you may have since your last visit.

Our approach prioritizes thorough monitoring, clear communication, and individualized care to support you every step of the way. Let us know if you have any questions about the appointment process!

During Labor

Our midwives join you in active labor (typically around 6 cm dilation) and provide continuous support and clinical monitoring throughout the birth. Timing may vary depending on your labor pattern and birth history.

After Birth

Following the birth, we remain with you for approximately 2–3 hours postpartum to monitor both parent and baby, support feeding, complete newborn assessments, and ensure everyone is stable and comfortable before we leave.

Our goal is steady, attentive care in a calm and supportive environment.

Postpartum & Newborn Care

Our postpartum and newborn care provides attentive follow-up and thoughtful support during the early weeks after birth.

  • Services Include:

    • Filing your baby’s birth certificate and
    • Request your baby be issued a social security card, if you request one.
    • Recommended state-mandated newborn care: (can be declined by signing waiver)
      • Vitamin K and Erythromycin administration.
      • Newborn Metabolic Screening.
      • Critical Congenital Heart Disease (CCHD) screening.
      • Hearing screening.

  • The 4th Trimester:
This period of adjustment, growth, and learning is transformative. We’re here to provide guidance, resources, and support to help you navigate this time with confidence

Birth Control Options

For our clients who may be seeking options to prevent or space pregnancies besides the Fertility Awareness Method, we currently offer:

  • Birth Control Prescriptions
  • Nexplanon Implant Visits
  • IUD Insertion

We are here to support your family planning and provide personalized guidance to help you find the option that works best for you. If you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment, please reach out to us!

Labs and Diagnostic Ultrasounds

We order and help schedule all necessary labs and diagnostic ultrasounds as part of your care. However, like many small practices, we do not perform these services in-house. Instead, they will be completed at a local lab (ex: LabCorp or Quest) or imaging facility (ex: Inner Vision, Premier Radiology, the Perinatal Group, or Greater Nashville MFM) .

Since these services are provided by another facility, you will be billed directly by them for their services.

If you have any questions about where to go or how to schedule, we’re happy to help!
