Christy Peterson Andrade CNM, MSN, APRN

Co-Owner of Clarksville Midwifery and Birth Center

Christy has always had a heart for pregnancy, birth, and babies. She grew up on the campus of a nursing school overseas, surrounded by young nursing students who faithfully served women and families in one of the most fertile countries in the world. From an early age, she witnessed compassionate maternity care firsthand — an experience that quietly shaped the direction of her life.

As a teenager, Christy met a midwifery student who inspired her deeply. From that moment on, she knew midwifery was her calling. After high school, she pursued a nursing degree to build a strong clinical foundation for her future in birth work. In 2007, she attended massage school in preparation for midwifery training — where she met Jenny and a shared dream began to take shape. She is excited to see this dream become a reality with the opening of Clarksville Birth Center.

Christy met her husband Nikoly in 2014 when she was practicing at a birth center in the Pacific Northwest with Jenny. Currently, Nikoly is away serving in the military. Outside of midwifery, Christy expresses her love for others through hospitality. She gained a deep appreciation for cooking from her family, and in her spare time you will often find her in the kitchen creating nourishing meals for the people she loves. For Christy, whether in the birth room or around the dinner table, caring for others is both a gift and a joy.
